1. Usos de In
A. Para indicar que una cosa está dentro de otra
Example:
El carro está en el garage
The car is in the garage

El cerebro está en la cabeza
The brain is in the head

Los estudiantes están en el salón
The students are in the classroom

B. Con los nombres de paises, ciudades, estados, continentes, fabelas, barrios, unidades cerradas y demás entidades territoriales.

Example:
Tu tio estuvo en california
Your uncle was in California

Ella vive en Aranjuez
She lives in Aranjuez

C. Con años meses y estaciones
Example:
Mi primo murio en 1972
My cousin died in 1972

La navidad es en diciembre
Christmas is in december

Hace calor en verano
It is hot in summer

D. Con las expresiones the morning, the afternoon, the evening
Example:
Los mellizos nunca salen de noche
The twins never leave in the evening

Tus padres vienen en la tarde
Your parents come in the afternoon

Expresiones con In
In time: a tiempo, con tiempo suficiente

Example:
Los novios llegaron a tiempo para la ceremonia
The groom and bride arrived in time for the ceremony

Once in a while: de vez en cuando
Example:
Mis parientes politicos van a cine de vez en cuando
My in-laws go to the cinema(movies) once in a while

In spite of: A pesar de
Example:
A pesar de todos sus problemas ella fue muy feliz
In spite of all Her problems, She was very happy

2. Usos de On
A. Con los dias de la semana y con fechas completas (con mes y dia)
Example:
Tu prometida nació el 28 de frebrero: Your fiancee was born on february 28th.
Mis hijos van al gimnacio los fines de semana: My children work out on (the) weekends
My children work out on (at the) weekends (britanico)

B. Con calles y avenidas cuando de alguna forma sabemos a cual nos referimos
Example:
Tu ex-novio vive en esa calle
Your ex-Boyfriend lives on that street
Diana Lives On San Juan Street.

C. Para indicar contacto
Ellos prenden la luz en la mañana
They turn on the lights in the morning

El tablero está en la pared
The blackboard is on the wall

Expresiones con On
On time: A tiempo, justo a tiempo
- El padrino llego justo a tiempo para la cita
The bestman arrived on time for the appointment

And so on: Etc, entre otros y así sucesivamente
-A ella le gusta bailar, beber, besar y así sucesivamente.
She likes to dance, to dirnk, to kiss and so on

What/s going on? qué pasa
-Qué pasa? yo no sé
What's going on? I don't Know

3. Usos de At
A. Con direcciones exactas y lugares definidos
Dondé queda la casa blanca
Where is the white house?
The White house is At: 1600 Pensylvannia Avenue N.W. Washington, DC 20500. (en ingles es calle y puerta)

Yo vivo en la carrera 45 el palo No 50-37
I live at carrera 45 th el palo No 50-37

Nota: las direcciones no se traducen.

Tus abuelos estan en la cafeteria
Your Grand-parents are at the cafeteria

B. Con las palabras noon, night, midnight
Los mellizos nunca salen de noche
The twins never leave at night

Mi suegra morirá a la media noche
My Mother-in-law will die at midnight

C. Con las palabras time y con las horas no actuales.
Example:
El era muy feliz en ese tiempo
He was very happy at time

Ella llega a las 5:00 a.m.
She arrives at 5:00 a.m.

Expresiones con At

At first: Al principio
Mi novia estaba muy nerviosa al principio
My girldfriend was very nervous at first

At last: Al fin, por fin
Por fin llegamos
At last we arrived

At All: en lo absoluto
Mi esposo no me ama en lo absoluto
My husband doesn't love me at all
